First and Emergency Aid Program :
The aim of the first and emergency aid program is to keep the injured patient on her feet until medical personnel can provide support and to provide emergency intervention.
Purpose of the Program:
To train technicians who can work in emergency aid ambulances, patient transport ambulances, air (helicopter and plane) and sea ambulances, other emergency aid vehicles, hospitals, medical centers, etc. and all emergency services where emergency health services are provided, and who will constantly update their knowledge and skills in line with innovations in medicine.
History:
The First and Emergency Aid Program affiliated with the Department of Medical Services and Techniques was opened in 2010. It started accepting students for the first time in 2012. In addition, the First and Emergency Aid (E.E) Program was opened in 2012 and started accepting students.
What Does a First and Emergency Aid Technician Do?
According to the "Emergency Health Services Regulation" published in the Official Gazette dated 11.05.2000 and numbered 24046, the duties of the First and Emergency Aid Technician are as follows:
- Performing intravenous intervention.
- Use accepted emergency medications and fluids until you reach the hospital.
- Administering oxygen therapy.
- Perform endotracheal intubation.
- Perform monitoring and defibrillation.
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation.
- To ensure that the patient is ready for transport by performing trauma stabilization.
- Know and apply proper carrying techniques.
- In case of emergency birth
First and Emergency Aid Work Areas
Students who graduate from the First and Emergency Aid program are employed in public and private institutions serving in the health sector, universities, hospital emergency services, land, air and sea ambulances in line with the competencies they have gained.

Double Major / Minor Programs
Double Major Program: Allows students to earn a bachelor's degree in a field they are interested in, in addition to their primary field. In this program, students can complete courses in two different fields and earn a diploma in both fields.
Minor Program: Allows students to take a certain number of courses in a field they are interested in, outside of their major. Students who complete the minor program are given an official certificate in that field; however, this does not mean a second undergraduate degree.

Exchange Programs
It offers students the opportunity to study at another university, either domestically or abroad, for a certain period of time. Thanks to these programs, students have the opportunity to learn about different cultures, develop their foreign language skills and gain international academic experience.
